candymixdemo2
candy mixer is an experimental interface that turns your hands into midi controllers. it connects your camera to mediapipe’s hand tracking so you can map finger landmarks to specific audio triggers and filters.
it’s has a few presets (trance, ambient, industrial, techno, classical) and a sequencer grid where you can toggle beats for kicks, loops, and snares with the cursor and click. features a bpm slider and some audio filters like echo and crunch controlled by the left hand. i’m still working on a way to let you upload your own tracks and customize controls for different sounds, i currently have a working remix hand controller and will combine the two.

i made this interface that easily allows you to connect your devices camera to mediapipe’s hand tracking, take each finger landmark and assign it to a specific part of the audio track. you can change the bpm. i want to upload a tutorial soon, there is complications though with uploading your own music in the interface, and also being able to add different controls to unique music to better suit the dj ;) #touchdesigner #mediapipe #geminicanvas
ghost hands, 2026
in this documentation, i show how i produced a visual effect created in touch designer, using just the free version and mediapipe. i achieved the effect by using blob tracking (and how to bypass the blob-track paywall), mediapipe's hand tracking: github.com/torinmb/mediapipe-touchdesigner i made this for an installation project on surveillance and the digital gaze. the filter makes it as if the data points of your hands show up before the delayed live feed. the installation will be displayed on a television in a studio gallery space.
